The other day I was shopping … what’s new? … and came across these L’Oreal Infallible Nudist Matte Lip Paints, which I hadn’t seen or heard much about so I thought that gave me the perfect reason to try them out and see if I like them. These retail at just £6.99, which I thought was a pretty good price compared to a lot of other liquid lipsticks and you also get a decent amount of product of 8ml and I can see this lasting a good few months, even with using it quite regularly. So, are they any good?
These Lip Paints are Matte Liquid Lipsticks, that have more of a creamy matte formula and they come in 14 different shades. What I like most about these lipsticks are that they have a more velvety consistency, rather than a matte drying consistency, which keeps the lips from drying out throughout the day and they’re very comparable to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I picked up the shades OFF WHITE and NUDE ON FLEEK ones quite a pale nude and the other a bit darker. I thought I’d pick these two up as I’ve been wanting to try out a lighter nude as I’m always wearing darker ones and I knew that I would use the darker one regardless as they’re my go-to’s!! The Lip Paints come in 6 different shades including a pale nude, a pale brown, a darker nude, a pinky nude, a dark brown and a lilac.
The formula is said to last up to 8 hours on the lips, but I’d say it lasts a few hours maximum and to be honest that is still good, but if you’re eating and drinking it is going to come off quicker and that goes for any lipstick really. I would suggest using a lip liner before and setting the lips with a little bit of powder to ensure that it lasts as long as possible before needing to reapply.
When it comes to lipsticks, pigmentation is a big thing (for me anyway) as the more pigmented it is the less product you need to use and sometime it can stain the lips and make it look like it lasts longer and these Lip Paints did not disappoint. The swatches below are done on one swipe of the doe foot applicator and I’m very impressed with the pay off.
*excuse the swatches, we all know I’m not very good at them haha!*
Overall I’m actually very impressed with these Lip Paints, the price, the longevity, the pigmentation and how much product you get for your money. I would say that the two shades I picked up aren’t exactly the same as the colour of the tubes, so I’m not the biggest fan of the palest nude, particularly because of my skin tone I just don’t think it goes very well, but I like the mix both of the shades together and it creates the perfect nude for me.
Thank you so much for reading this post, I hope you all enjoyed reading about my thoughts on these lip paints and whether they would be a product you would be interested in trying. I am sorry this is quite a short review, but I couldn’t not share these with you as I know these will be right up, some of your, street!
