Hey there and welcome to today’s post which I have been so excited to write because this is a review on the new Revolution x Imogenation Eyeshadow Palette. As soon as I heard Revolution were going to be doing a collaboration with Imogenation, I was buzzing and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. If you have tried the contour and highlight palette from this collab, then please let me know your thoughts on it or link your blog post reviews in the comments below!
Now, let’s talk about the packaging because we all know that’s the first thing that draws me in to purchasing a new product. It’s a really cute ombré purple, with a pale pink on the bottom and inside and I think this packaging just screams Imogen and it gives me a unicorn kinda vibe.
With 20 shadows including a black, a white, neutral shades and a mixture of matte sand shimmers, the packaging is super thin and these all make it so perfect for travelling or anywhere even for MUA kits.
I’m really impressed with the pigmentation of the shadows as you only need one swipe of the brush in the product, the colour pay off is really good and the shadows come out really opaque. I think these shadows are very good quality for a £10 palette as they’re really soft and easy to blend. I will say that you will have to work a little bit with the shimmery shadows like Butterfly and Forever Friend if you want a completely opaque colour and you can achieve this by packing it on with your fingers or using some setting spray on your brushes and then packing it onto the lid.
This palette is super versatile as it has neutral shades, which are both warm and cool toned, the bottom two rows, particularly the bottom right 4 shadows, look like they’re going to be perfect for Autumn and the shades Butterfly and Forever Friend are really standing out to me and they look like they’re going to be perfect for cut creases or a pop of cover look.
Overall, I am very happy with this palette and I cannot wait to get using it and start creating lots of different looks with it. I had such high hopes for this palette as Revolution always kills it with their palettes … well all of their products really … as well as their collabs and this one did not disappoint. I will be sharing a makeup look using this palette soon, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for that, if you want to see what I create!
