Black Friday Haul. | Blogmas

It’s that time again; the cold weather, cozy evenings by the fire, all the festivities and arguably the best month of the year is upon us. With all that comes the Christmas countdown, the Black Friday sales (which are staring earlier every year) and deciding which advent calendar to get; yes, at 25 I still need one, whether it’s chocolate, beauty or literally anything else they do these days. And, you guessed it … a big Black Friday haul!

Black Friday can be quite overwhelming… all the emails, adverts, TikTok lives; it’s just forced down your throat. Not only this, but some of the ‘sales’ aren’t even sales, sometimes they’re made to look like they are but are actually the same price (if not more) than normal.

I usually take a scroll through most of the sales I see a post or an email about but, this year, I decided to look at the things I wanted or needed and to buy those things at a price I’m happy to pay, whether that’s a massive discount or similar price as normal, and leave it at that, super simple. I think that may be why I actually bought a fair bit in this years sales and that’s why I thought I’d share those buys with you!

The very first thing I picked up is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation which I have been wanting to try for the longest time. I have only tried a couple of things from Charlotte Tilbury, the Brown Eye Pencil being one of them which is my holy grail, and thought this was the best time to try something else. These foundations were on a 2 for 1 making them £39 for the 2; which I guess you could say is still price, but it is high end so what can you expect? I have only used this once and I received compliments on how smooth and glowy my skin looked which is how you just know it’s a good one. I found that, even though it’s glowy and hydrating, it didn’t make me feel oily like my face is melting off. I will be doing a full review on this so keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in knowing more.

Next up we have the Lancôme Teint Miracle Bare Skin Dewy Foundation. After a long while of just using up the products in my collection, I am officially running out of foundations (hence theres 3 in this haul alone) and I’m looking to try out stock up on my all time favourites as well as trying new ones like this. I found this for half price on the Boots website, for £19 something. I love a dewy, lightweight yet buildable foundation and this sounds right up my street. I also love that it has SPF 15 in as sometimes wearing SPF underneath can cause the products to crumble and not work well together, so using a light moisturiser prior to application should make for a smooth, hydrated base.

Whilst doing a Debenhams order, I saw that the Calvin Klein Euphoria Perfume had the 100ml bottle down to just £29; extra off with my Blue Light Card. I hadn’t tried this perfume before but with the notes Black Orchid, Amber and Mahogany Wood, I had a feeling I would love it and my god I was right. It’s one of those scents that improves over time on the skin and it lasts throughout the day without the need for a top up; even thought I do.

Top notes: Pomegranate, Persimmon, Green Accord Black Orchid, Lotus Blossom

Heart notes: Black Orchid, Lotus Blossom

Base notes: Cream Accord, Mahogany Wood, Violet, Amber

It is known as an old school scent, one of the OG fragrances that was launched in 2005 and I can now feel that this will become one of my new staples.

I saw that Doll Beauty were having a huge sale with everything £5 or less and this is one of the sales I wanted to make the most of and stock up. I picked up the Pretty Fly Blusher in Take me to the Peach which is a lovely peach colour and peach/oranges blushes actually one of my favourite colours of blush. From the photo, it looks like my perfect blush colour.

As I’m taking a break from lash extensions and have gone back to being a strip lash gal, it was about time I stocked up on some new styles. I picked up 3 pairs of the Chloe Elizabeth Lashes which were down to £5 each and 3 pairs of the Bella Lashes at only £2 each. I then picked up a couple of lipsticks int he shades C’est La Vie and Dolled Out. I definitely did not need anymore nude lipsticks to add to my collection, but there’s just no feeling like a new lipstick.

Lastly from my little Doll Beauty Splurge are the DollySet Setting Spray and the DollyPrep Primer. I feel like you can never have too many primers or setting sprays. You need one for the glow, one for the matte looks and one for the long days that turn into nights and the makeup needs to hold up.

It looks like there’s a delay with shipping at the moment due to the sales but I am so excited for this parcel to get to me.

That’s So Fetch is quickly becoming one of my new favourite clothing brands. Back in the summer I bought a pink tracksuit from them and I have worn it soo much, whether separately or as a pair, as it is so soft, comfortable and really good quality. I spent around £70 on the Pink Tracksuit Jumper and Joggers and wanted to see what their sale was like and really take advantage of it. I ended up picking out the Series 3 Hoodie and Joggers in Purple. As well as the Dale Zip Up Hoodie in Grey. I got both hoodies in a S/M and the Joggers in a Small and for reference I am a size 10.  I have only worn these for the photo so far but they are super soft, again great quality and I love the colour. In the sale I managed to get all 3 items for around £70 so I got one other hoodie for the same price as I had spent before … pretty good I’d say.

Last, but not least, is my favourite purchase of this year not just Black Friday and it’s the Shark FlexStyle which is like a dupe of the Dyson Airwrap. I got this for just £199 down from £270, plus I got this on Boots.com so that means Advantage Card Point and cash back with Airtime Rewards. An absolute steal if you ask me. I have only used this once so far but I am fully converted. With a Blow Dry head, a Sleek Brush, a Big Round Brush (perfect for a big bouncy blow dry) and the 2 Auto-Wrap Curlers; you get one for the Right side and one for the Left side. A number of different styles, styling whilst also drying the hair which saves time, and doing all that with no heat damage? What more could you want?

And that concludes the bits and bobs I got in this years Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales. I did get quite a bit more but, these are Christmas Presents, so I’m not going to share them on here. I really hope you enjoyed reading about all the goodies I picked up in the sales and I will see you in my next post!
