December Favourites! | Blogmas

Good evening, happy Christmas Week and I’m back with a good ol’ monthly favourites post, this time for December. You may be thinking ‘already?!’ but yes, it’s here already; I just couldn’t wait and really wanted to share these as soon as possible and include them in Blogmas. I have been using these products for the last month or so, some new some older products I deffo need to start using up. So, here goes!

Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam:

After recently finishing my Superdrug Oat Cleanser, as much as I absolutely love it, I wanted to try something new. I love a cleanser that cleans deep, exfoliates and makes the skin feel squeaky clean after use and this definitely does that. It’s good for daily use so my skin is always feeling fresh, clean and flake free; my only downfall is that it can make your skin a little dry but nothing a good moisturiser and oil can’t sort out. I got this for £13, which makes it a midrange priced cleanser; it’s a little more expensive than I would usually spend on this type of product but, if it works, it works and I’m willing to spend a little more.

Lush Berry Berry Christmas Shower Gel:

I couldn’t write a December Favourites without a festive product so we have the Lush Berry Berry Christmas Shower Gel. I have actually had this since last Christmas but for some reason hasn’t got around to using it but it was the perfect time. I love a gold old fruity fragrance and this is a blend of Cranberry, Blueberry, Sweet Orange and Bergamot; nothing screams Christmas like this mix of fragrances. The way this scent engulfs the shower, it’s super strong and lasts on the skin so you actually smell like this throughout the day.  A fruity mix with Bergamot it’s just made for me and the hint of sparkle makes it perfect for this time of year.

Rimmel The Multi-Tasker Concealer:

I am always on the hunt for a good, drugstore concealer so, in my recent makeup stock up, I decided to pick up the Rimmel The Multi-Tasker Concealer. I got the shades Ivory and Fair, as I like to have one for the high-points of my face to highlight and another for the rest of my face to cover. I am actually really happy with this one, the big doe foot applicator, the thick and creamy consistency and it’s lightweight, yet blendable. There’s nothing worse than cakey under eyes, a concealer that doesn’t want to blend seamlessly into the rest of the base but this one has no problem. A couple of times it did crease under my eyes, but this could’ve been due to not setting it well and, as we all know, it’s not only all in the blending but in the setting as well. I’ve not checked if there’s any flashback so we will see.

Shellac Gel Polish in Aura:

It’s Christmas time which means time to get out the Festive Nail Polishes. I’m not big on designs so no candy canes or snowflakes here, just a good old deep green polish. This is the Shellac Gel Polish in Aura; my favourite purchase I’ve ever made is getting my own lamp to do my nails at home, it saves time and money and fresh nails whenever I want. I have been going back to this one each year since 2019 when I first discovered it; I believe this may even be when this was released?! It surprisingly only needs 2 coats to be completely opaque, it has a shiny, clean finish (providing I use a steady hand and don’t rush) and I think it’ll look great on any skin tone. The perfect Christmassy Green.

No7 Protect & Perfect Lip Care:

Last, but not least, the No7 Protect & Perfect Lip Care. I don’t think there’s many (if any) products of No7 that I don’t get on with. This time of year the cold weather causes havoc with my skin and lips so I need a good lip balm to keep them hydrated. This one is less of a balm and more of a cream so I like to leave a thick layer on them for this to sink in throughout the night and I wake up with much more hydrated, soft lips with, even a bit of a plump. An added bonus is that it smells incredible, almost like vanilla? This is now a must have in my skincare collection and best for deeper hydration when your lips need some TLC.

I feel like I’m back on it with my monthly favourites post and I remember now just how much I used to love writing them. Not only do I love writing them, I also love reading them. I am soo nosey and love to see what everyone’s been loving throughout the month, whether the products are oldie but goldies or brand new releases. For that reason I hope you enjoy reading them too as I’m sure I will be sharing them more throughout the coming year. See you soon!
