My Favourite Makeup Brushes! *CHEAP*

People think that you need high-end, expensive makeup to create a perfect look, but really it’s all in the brushes you use. One product may look awful applied with a certain brush, but another brush could really make it pop, so for today’s post, I thought I would share my favourite cheap makeup brushes!

(L-R)
Morphe M404 £8,
B. Duo Fibre Stippling Brush £8.99,
Spectrum A10 £4.99,
ELF Powder Brush £5,
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £8.99,
W7 Angled Blusher Brush £6.95,
Morphe M139 £3.50,
Makeup Revolution E104 Makeup Revolution E104 £1.99

Over the last few months I’ve switched out some of my old ‘everyday’ brushes to these and now I don’t use any others … obvs I still use my trusty Beauty Blender too!

Morphe M404:

This is a small duo fibre brush that I use to dust of my bake or for my highlight/blush and i really like this brush. The way it applies highlight/blush just brings out the pigment without having to build it up!

Morphe M139:

This brush is perfect for blending out each eye shadow seamlessly, but as it’s small and also is slightly less flimsy than a lot of blending brushes, it also works well for packing the shadows for a more defined and opaque look!

Morphe brushes are really well priced and are great quality …  I would really recommend them!

B. Duo Fibre Stippling Brush:

This brush is fairly new to my collection, but I have really been liking it. As I don’t like using duo fibre brushes for foundation, I have been using this as a blending brush, to blend out my blush/contour/highlight and it blends it seamlessly.

Spectrum A10:

You may, or may not, know that I’m obsessed with the glow, I go ham on the highlight and thats why I use two different brushes for it. I find this one applies the highlight well, but doesn’t necessarily pick up a lot of the product, but with a couple sprays of Fix+, it gives it something to stick to!!

ELF Powder Brush:

This is my all time favourite makeup brush … there’s just something about it that makes makeup look basically flawless! It just works so well both wet and powder products, but I only use it for powders to set my face. It helps bring out full coverage in face powders, without holding onto the product.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush:

As I’m not really a fan of using brushes for my foundation, I have been using this brush for cream contour. I really like how this brush spreads the product evenly without it looking streaky and without moving the products underneath!!

W7 Angled Blusher Brush:

Although this brush is super cheap, it works soo well. I use it for contouring as the angle sits perfectly on the cheek bones, making it easy to apply the product, to create the shadow, on the correct place. This brush also help give the bronze/ powder contour a seamless finish, without it looking muddy. I am obsessed with it!! This brush does cost £6.95 from the W7 website, but you can find it for much cheaper on Amazon or eBay!

Makeup Revolution E104:

Last, but not least,is my fave brush for doing my brows. This brush work so well with cream products, like dip brows and gel cremes. I really like filling in the arch of my brow and then brushing through the rest of the product through the front of each brow to give the faded look!
