Although I don’t class myself as having VERY pale skin, I do have quite pale skin at the moment because of the time of year and it can be difficult to find foundations that match my skin tone, so I can’t imagine how much harder it is for those that are very pale. I’m usually an Ivory in most brands, but I find most brands consider Ivory the palest shade, however it’s usually quite dark and orange toned.
Recently I have come across a few new foundations that have a wide variety of shades including the palest of pale, so I thought I would share them with you all to help a gal (or guy) out!
The first one is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum which I have been using for a long while now and their lightest shade is no51 Light Vanilla. Although this foundation only has 6 shades which isn’t a lot, the lightest shade is probably 1-2 shades lighter than your standard Ivory. I picked up this shade as I’m usually the lightest shade but this actually turned out to be way to light for my skin tone, so if you’re a light porcelain then this could be a good match for you!!
The next foundation that carries good pale shades is the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. Not only does this one have good pale shades, but the tones are also a perfect match too!! The fact that the shade I picked up is too light for me … which never seems to happen … and there is another shade even lighter than this one as well makes this a very good foundation line. Although this is a little pricey, the coverage and longevity of it reflects the price which makes it worth every penny. This isn’t the type of foundation that I would personally wear everyday as it’s so full coverage but it does work very well as a mixer especially if mixed with a more glowy foundation which I really like for everyday makeup!!
Next up is the MAX Factor Facefinity 3-in-1 Foundation which (I believe) has 14 shades. The shades they have include Light Ivory, which is actually true-to-colour and would match someone who is normally a Porcelain. I really like this foundation mainly because it’s a 3-in-1 (primer, concealer and foundation) and also has SPF 15, which makes it perfect for everyday us, especially during the summer when you don’t want to cake your face in heavy makeup but still want to feel fresh faced.
Last but not least, is the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation and I use the shade Calico. One thing I particularly love about No7 Foundations is that they can match you to your shade very quick and easy and with 24 shades including Porcelain, Cool Ivory and Calico, I’m confident that this foundation will be able to find the perfect shade for even the palest of skin tones. This foundation has very good coverage, but is also lightweight, has SPF 15 and is said to last up to 24 hours (not that someone would usually wear it for that long but it does last throughout the day without going patchy or cakey).
What I really like most about all of these foundations is that you will be the same shade in each of the brands foundation so if you’re No51 in the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation you will also be shade No51 in the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation too!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I really hope you enjoyed it and hopefully it gave you an idea of foundation to try next to find your perfect match. I will see you in a few days with a new post.
