If you’re a long term reader of my Blog, you will know that I am a lover of a nude lip, particularly if it’s matte and if you’ve read my Lip Collection post (click here) you’ll have seen that I already have far to many lipsticks, why could I possibly need anymore? Well, I was scrolling through Instagram the other night, when I came across Charlotte Crosby’s new post, where she was wearing such a nice nude lip, which was completely different to any that I have, and she had tagged Flique Cosmetics. At the time, I hadn’t heard of this brand before but I later found out that it’s Charlotte’s Brand and is stocked by Easilocks.
I was a bit unsure whether to purchase this lipstick at first, because I feel like sometimes ‘celeb’ products and brands can be over hyped and under deliver … and sometimes even over priced. But as the ByKady Velvet Liquid Lipstick surprised me, I thought I’d bite the bullet and see if this one would too.

I decided to do a little bit more of a search and find out what shade it was so that I could add it to my collection. This is the Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade In The Nude, which retails at £9.99. In The Nude is a very warm toned brown, almost orange-y, nude. I was a little bit unsure whether it would suit me or not, but I was so in love with the colour that I just had to give it a try.
I’m a sucker for nice packaging and sometimes it can even be the main reason for me wanting to try a new product out. The box is a mix of Rose Gold, White and Black and the tube has a Rose Gold writing and lid but a clear tube, which I really like as it’s minimal and simple but I really like it … easily pleased haha! The tube itself is super thin and it’s also quite long, but it’s still handbag friendly. For just £9.99, you get 8 ml of product which I think is a pretty decent and will last a while. Although the lipstick itself is well priced, the postage was £4.99 for 7-10 day delivery which made the lipstick almost £15. But I ordered this Tuesday evening and it arrived on Friday morning, so they do come quickly. If you’re in Ireland you can pick up Flique Cosmetics products in Meaghers Pharmacy but I’m not sure if this is just online or in-store too.
Application:
This Lipstick is very smooth and creamy and applies really evenly. As it’s really pigmented and opaque one coat is all you need and this also helps the lipstick to not look or feel cakey, it also doesn’t crumble like a lot of other matte lipsticks do. After just one swipe on the lips, I knew that I was going to love it, particularly as it felt more velvety, like a mix between the NYX Matte Lip Cream’s and the Liquid Suede’s also from NYX.
Longevity:
I find that the majority of matte lipsticks, particularly liquid lipsticks, stay on the lips for a long amount of time … that’s one of the main reasons that I love them as much as I do. I really like how comfotable these are on the lips as they almost feel like you’ve got no lipstick on and sometimes, as I can’t feel it on the lips, I go to reapply and I see in the mirror that it’s still very much there and doesn’t need anymore. The Liquid Lips are bullet proof, this lipstick didn’t run ( I don’t know whether darker shades would) it lasted through drinking but after eating I did need to add a little more, which is understandable. But I think that this lipstick could easily last 6-8 hours, depending on what you’re eating and drinking.
Overall Opinion:
Overall, I am more than impressed by this lipstick, the price, the quality, the colour, the packaging … what’s not to love eh? I really couldn’t recommend this lipstick enough, whether you’re looking for a high end quality product with the price of a drugstore product, you’re on a budget or whether you just want to bag yourself a bargain, this will be right up your street!!
