Happy Hump Day everyone and welcome to my November favourites post for 2018. I love sharing my monthly favourites every month and this month is no exception as I have come across a number of new, incredible products, along with trying some oldie but goldie products and I also ended up digging out some of my all time faves from my makeup kit, which have now crept back into my everyday makeup bag. So … what products have I been loving this month?
My first favourite for this month is the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream, which you would have seen me mention if you’ve read my Haul. I’ve been in need of a new eye cream for a while and as I suffer from very dry eye lids and under eyes, I thought that it would be a good idea to get one with Hyaluronic acid in it. Because, if you didn’t know, Hyaluronic acid is really good for a number of probably areas but particularly dry skin and anti-ageing. This cream retails at £15, for a 14g pot and I think considering how well this has been working for me and treating my dry skin, that I think it’s so worth it! I deffo recommend it.
Next up is the MAC Strobe Cream. I used to be completely obsessed with this primer back when I first started my blog, but after not using it for a while I started to use it again this month when I had run out of my Rimmel one. I love how hydrating this is as well as how glowy and healthy it makes my skin look. It has very quickly made it’s way back into my everyday makeup routine and I cannot stop reaching for it. If you haven’t tried this out, I really do recommend it … it is a little pricey in comparison to drugstore primers, but I do think that it’s really worth the money. However, if you don’t want to splurge on this one then L’Oreal do a really good dupe which you can check out here!
The Bourjois Rouge Velvet ‘The Lipstick Bullet’ in Nohalicious is still very new to my makeup collection but it has been coming everywhere with me these past couple of weeks. It’s such a perfect brownie, nude and has quickly become my new ‘handbag lippy’. This lipstick is super creamy, it lasts on the lips for a good while as well … I even dab it slightly with a tissue to make it a little more matte and this helps it to last longer on the lips too!
If you’re a long term reader of my blog then you’ll know how much of a lover I am of Natural Collection products and this translucent loose powder is no exception. I use this powder not only to bake my face, but also to set it and it works so well for both. It’s such a fine powder which sets my base really smoothly and doesn’t set into the fine lines which cause creases. If you haven’t tried this out yet then I urge you to do so, especially if you’re looking for a new face powder and for £2.49, you just can’t go wrong.
I hardly ever talk about hair care on my blog because I don’t really use many products or even do much to my hair tbh, BUT this month we’re trying something new. Recently, my hairs been needing a wash more frequently but because I’ve recently dyed my hair, I’ve been wanting to take more care of it which means not washing it as often and dry shampoo is perfect for this. As I have quite dark hair now, using normal dry shampoo just doesn’t work as it sit in my hair and creates white patches in my hair … however, this one is specifically for brunette hair and doesn’t create patches of different colours in my hair. This also helps to cover my roots that are growing through which is a bonus. I love how voluminous this make my hair look and it smells great too!
My last favourite of this month is the Revolution Brow Pomade in the shade Graphite. I used to use quite warm toned brow products but I find that the cooler toned browns have been working best for me and this one is working great for me. It works so well for an ombré style brow, which if you don’t know is a bold arch and tail of the brow and more sparse and light on the front. This also helps it too look a little bit more natural and less harsh, which I used to do but I much prefer how this one is looking in me.
And they were my favourites for the month of November, thank you so much for reading and I will see you in a couple of days for my next 12 Days of Christmas posts. You can also check out my last post here.
