Today’s post is an exciting one because it will be in collaboration with Rachel from littleworldofrachel.com, and Rachel will be sharing her Skincare Routine. Make sure you check out Rachel’s post after and you can do that by clicking here, or if you’ve come over from Rachel’s blog, then hello welcome, my name is Luci and I hope you enjoy reading my posts!
A face mask for me is a must have, I’ve always got to have one within arms reach whether I’m abroad or at home, because when your skin needs a new lease of life, they save the day. This one is the Neutrogena Hydra Boost Sheet Mask and I would usually have this in my carry-on and another one for once I’ve arrived at the place I’m staying, to use throughout my time there. This is because both the sun or being on a plane can dry out the skin and even cause break outs (more so on planes) so it’s always handy to have one on me!
Also from the Neutrogena Hydra Boost range, I also like to have the body lotion and the eye cream, that are both really light weight and hydrating. I’m really fussy with moisturisers because I don’t like them to feel greasy on the skin or sit on the skin but this one sinks into the skin within a few minutes and it feels smooth and hydrated.
I’m sure you all knew this one was coming … it’s the Mario Badescu Aloe Facial Spray and I have talked about this so much on my blog, but I’m still just as obsessed with it. It’s such a versatile product as it can be used under makeup, as a setting spray, before moisturiser or even just to re-hydrate the skin throughout the day … which is perfect for days at the beach or by the pool!!
To be honest, I don’t really wear much makeup when I’m away, but if I do I like something lightweight and to give me a bit of a glow and this No7 Bronzing Highlighter stick does exactly that. I’ll usually use this under a CC Cream or tinted moisturiser but even on its own it looks just as good.
Every night to conclude my skincare routine, I also put on a Facial Oil and these are incredibly hydrating and smoothing. I like using these because they work their magic overnight and you wake up with re hydrated and rejuvenated skin and all you have to do it sleep! I’ve recently been using the Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil and I’ve really been liking using it. It’s also a mini pot so it’s perfect for travelling with. I also use the No7 Youthful Facial Oil too and that one works just as well!
If you’ve read my blog posts before, you may have seen me talk about the OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Oil, which is a spray used for the hair and it helps to hydrate and revamp the hair and make it look sleek. I use this on towel dried hair almost as if it was a detangling spray to help brush my hair out and prevent breakage. I also notice that the sun drys out my hair like nothing else and this really helps to keep on top of it whilst I’m away and then I usually do a hair mask or go the hair dressers when I get home.
My last beauty travel essential is the Dove Shower Mousse. If you’ve seen my ‘Body Skincare for those who CBA‘ post, you will have seen me talk about one of these in the past and I still love using them. This is such a versatile product because it can be used as a Shower Gel and as a shaving mousse so it’s perfect for travelling as it’s a 2 in 1 and you’ll have more space in your wash bag. It’s also got added Argan Oil in it, which helps to moisturise the skin in the shower, so you can get out with silky smooth legs.
And they were my Beauty and Skincare Travel Essentials thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post and also thank you to Rachel for collab-ing with me on this post!! Don’t forget to check out my last post if you haven’t already read it and I’ll see you with a new post soon.
