Hey there and welcome back to my blog. A couple of weeks ago I uploaded a Beauty + Skincare Travel Essentials post, which was actually a collab and you can read that one here, and you all seemed to like that one, so I thought that I’d do a part 2. This post is going to be me sharing my In-Flight Carry On Travel Essentials and the bits and bobs that I couldn’t live without when on a plane … particularly long haul journeys.
My next essential is the This Works Stress Check Breathe In Roll On and this is a lavender scent which helps to relax you. This is perfect when you want to fall asleep on the plane but it can sometimes be a bit hard to get comfortable so this really does help. I especially find this handy when you apply a bit just before boarding the plane and then just as you’re trying to get to sleep and you’ll soon fall asleep. Also, it’s just a little tube so perfect for having on you and keeping in your pocket for when you need it!!
Hair Ties. They’re always really handy when you have long hair to just get it out of your face and these are not only a travel essentials, but an everyday essential as I have one on my wrist 24/7. Let me know if you do too!
The next thing I have got to have in my handbag is a book. I hardly read books, but when it comes to being on plane I just need something to pass the time. I’ve actually been reading the Notes on a Nervous Planet by Matt Haig and have really been enjoying it. I heard about this book on one of Emily Canham’s Haul Videos on YouTube and it sounded exactly like a book that I would enjoy, so I just had to get it.
I always like to have some skincare on me in my hand luggage. I don’t know if you find this too, but on flights my skin drys out so much and I sometimes break out, so I try to keep on top of it and prevent this from happening. Also, it takes up a bit of time to, so if you’re on a long boring flight then you can wipe out 30 minutes to an hour depending on how precise you are and how much you want to do. I like to hair a sheet mask, under eye masks, a moisturiser, face wipes (particularly if I’m wearing any makeup) and also lip balm … because my lips also dry out too and there’s nothing worse than having dry lips but no Vaseline/ balm to fix it!
Obviously having a passport in your hand luggage kind of goes without saying, but I just wanted to share this passport holder with you as it’s just soo cute. This one is from Carvela and I actually received it for Christmas … I’m just a sucker for cute little accessories.
I don’t know about you, but I always find that planes are soo cold and no matter how many layers I have on, I can just never warm up. So, I like to wear fluffy bed socks on the plane, not only for comfortable, but to also keep me warm. If you find planes cold, then I cannot recomend you taking fluffy socks on there with you. I also like to take a big scarf with me as well as it works as a blanket too!
Lastly, but probably one of the things that I couldn’t not have with me (sounds really bad I know) and that it my phone. Phone’s have so many different ways of taking up time, whether it’s listening to music, a film you’ve downloaded, playing games or, if you have Wi-Fi, watching YouTube and going on Socials etc.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post, I hope you enjoyed reading about my Carry On Travel Essentials. Make sure you check out my previous post and I’ll see you soon with a new post!!
