Hey and welcome to today’s post, which is particularly exciting because it’s a collab with one of my besties Alix from www.alixkate.co.uk. Today, we will both be sharing our Easter inspired makeup looks and I hope you enjoy. Don’t forget to check out Alix’s post here and she also has a YouTube channel which is makeupwithalixkate. Also, if you’ve come over from Alix’s blog, welcome my name is Luci and I really hope you enjoy reading my blog!
The Products!
Smashbox Under Eye Primer
I used to use this as an eye primer for a good year or so and absolutely loved using it but I started using lots of other products and never went back to it. I decided to try it out again for this look and I love how light and blendable it is and it doesn’t cause creasing, it just hydrates the eyes for makeup.
Revolution Marvelous Mattes Palette
I’ve been using this palette so much since I bought it and I am absolutely loving it. It’s all bright matte shades and is perfect for all sorts of looks. I can’t wait to create more looks with this palette. I used the Pastel Blue and Dark Purple shade and blended the edges with the more pale yellow. For the inner corner I used the highlight from the Revolution Flamingo Easter Egg Palette.
NYX Vivid Brights Eye Liner in Halo
This yellow eye liner was really hard to apply as I found the applicator to be a little to flimsy to get an accurate wing, however I think it worked out pretty well. The only fault I have with this liner is that it cracks so easily and after it’s dried it doesn’t look too good. Thankfully you can’t see it too much in this photo but deffo not one I would recommend. The white liner was just a white eye liner pen from eBay.
No7 360 Mascara
To finish off the eyes I used the new No7 360 Mascara and some cheap lashes from eBay. As you can tell they’re a little bit big and long for my eyes but if you would like to check them out you can click here.
Chella Taupe Brow Cream
Recently I have absolutely been loving this brow product and it’s become my go-to. I cannot recommend it enough and even though the shade is taupe, it does work really well with my brow colour.
The Look!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. This look didn’t come out as good as I could’ve hope because that yellow eye liner was PLAYING me and it was much harder to do the dots than I thought. But, I really liked the idea I had and I hope you liked the way it turned out!
As always thank you so much to Alix for collab-ing with me, I can’t wait to see the look you have created.
