I should probably start by saying sorry for not posting for a few weeks, I ended up taking a short, unplanned break from blogging due to my lack of motivation and inspiration. I will probably do a post soon to just get some things off of my chest, a bit like a diary, just of where I’m at with blogging. However, welcome back to my blog or if this is the first time you’re stumbling across it, then hey I’m Luci.
For today’s post, yep you guessed it, I will be sharing my monthly favourites with you all and my god am I excited about these products this month! Even though I’ve been on a bit of a spending ban and haven’t spent a penny on makeup since before payday, I still have a few of my new and previously loved faves to share with you. So, I hope you enjoy!
My first favourite this month is the Revolution Pink Clay Detoxifying Mask and my skin has been absolutely loving this. I’ve not been so good with my skincare routine lately and face masks have been the last thing I’ve wanted to do (sounds so lazy haha!), so you could say my skin was in need of some TLC. My skin has been super oily lately and the description of it said that it helps to absorb oils but also uses witch hazel and this really helped to clear up my redness. As well as making my makeup stay on longer because I’ve not been an oily sweaty mess haha.
The Revolution Rose Gold Highlighter is still very new to my collection but I had an instant obsession with it from the first swatch. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I absolutely love shimmer blushes (especially in the summer) and with the pink tone this one has this works as both a highlight and a blush. I don’t always use this on the apples of my cheeks but, however I wear it, I absolutely love it. It’s very smooth, almost creamy (although it is powder) and it’s very pigmented so you don’t have to cake up the powder on the skin. I like to bounce my beauty blender over the top of it and it makes it sink into the skin, without giving off that powder look. I can’t recommend this enough and it only costed me £1.20 in the sale!!
Next up is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cairo. After using Abu Dhabi and Athens before, I think I’ve found my perfect nude with this one. I did find Abu Dhabi to be too brown and Athens to be a bit too orangey ish, however this ones not to brown or orange and I haven’t been able to stop using it. I really like how these are very affordable, pigmented, smooth and very creamy. They also don’t have the dry matte feeling and it doesn’t even feel like you have anything on your lips.
And those were my favourites for the month of April. I really hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you soon with another one!!
