Happy Friday lovelies and welcome to a new blogtober post, where I will be unboxing a £25 Mystery Beauty Box from eBay. I have seen so many YouTube videos of people unboxing all sorts of mystery boxes and it really made me want to buy one too, to see what I would get!!
The first thing I picked out of the box were these candy kitten lashes and I got 4 of the same style, which is Gibi Belle. These lashes are quite thick and fluffy but for my small eyes these wouldn’t be great for me😂 however as lashes go, I think with someone whose more into lashes than me and has bigger eyes would be able to pull them off and they would finish off a bold eye look really nicely.
Next up we’re some bath salts, one Prosecco and one gin & tonic ones. I haven’t actually used bath salts before as I always opt for a bath bomb or just some bath milk but these actually smell really, really good so I’m excited to see how these work in the bath. Something I really like to do when having a bath is light a candle and I was really happy when I saw there was one in the box too. I received a Unicorn Tears candle from …… which smells which has a really refreshing and citrus-y scent to it. It also has two wicks, which I absolutely love because it makes the candle burn evenly. The pot is really cute and has a sparkly lid, I think it’ll be a really cute pot to keep after burning the candle.
NY CITY GIRL is another brand that I hadn’t heard of prior to getting this box and from this brand I got a tweezer, mirror and eye lash curler set as well as a lip gloss that comes in a cute bauble packaging. I don’t know about you, but one thing I always loose are tweezers and it’s been something that I’ve needed to replace for a while so that’s great. As well as tweezers, I’ve been needing to replace my curlers because I have had them way too long and now it gives me so excuse but to throw my old ones away. The lipgloss I received is a dark pinky colour, it’s really smooth and pigmented. Again, probably not something I would wear, but I’m sure someone can take it off my hands haha.
I’m sure we all know just how much I love Revolution products and to see that I got three items from there in this box, I was really happy. So, I actually received two of the Revolution Foundation Brushes and to be honest I’ve been in need of a new one for a while but haven’t got around to buying one. I also use these type of brushes to apply face masks and I know one of them will be used for that too!! Another item from Revolution that I’ve been meaning to try is their lip kits and I received one of their metallic ones in this set. It’s a bronzey kind of colour and although I probably won’t use it or my eyes, I can imagine it’ll look really good on the eye. (As long as they’re eye safe of course!!)
Speaking of makeup, I received a few bits from studio London and that includes a mini smokey eyeshadow palette, a pink lipgloss, a pinky peach blush and a nudey pink nail polish. These a really cute little products and would be perfect for travelling with.
Last, but not least, I got some skincare products which includes a sheet mask and a lip mask. I really love sheet masks because they’re not messy and they’re quick and easy to use … perfect for lazy skincare routines like mine can be. I haven’t tried a lip sheet mask before so I’m exited to see what it like. It says it supposed to be hydrating and in the colder month my lips will need this.
Overall, I am very impressed with the bits and bobs that I received in this box. Admittedly it’s not all to my taste and things I would buy, but I know there’s something for all the beauty lovers in this box. I’m very excited to try each product out and I’m sure I’ll let you know what I think of them in favourites posts (if I like them that much) and reviews etc.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog post and I will see you tomorrow with a new one.
