Hiya, welcome back to a new blogtober post. really can’t believe that we are into the final week of blogtober, I’m really going to miss daily blogging … even though I have been a little bit behind these last few days so I’m very sorry about that … so almost, daily blogging. For today’s post I will be sharing my transitioning into autumn makeup look. I find it difficult to give up my summery eye looks and accept the fact the summers gone, but I am excited to get playing with the burnt oranges and burgundy’s etc. So, I thought I would share my first autumnal look using my new Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Ring The Alarm Palette.
For the base of my makeup I used my Primark Perfect Finish Foundation in the shade ‘Nude’. I did do a full review on the foundation which you can read here. I forgot to include this in the picture, but I used my Urban Decay Concealer in the lightest shades to highlight my face. And then I obviously decided to bake and set my face with the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.
My new favourite bronzer is the Natural Collection Bronzing Powder in Copper and it seems to suit my skin tone perfectly. It’s also really easy to blend so it doesn’t go patchy or streaky, which does happen a lot for me with other bronzers. To add to the bronzey glow, I used the obsession Isn’t It Peachy Palette and mixed all the shades of blush together to put on the apples of my cheeks and then highlighted with the peachy highlight and it’s so pretty.
I used to over do my brows because I liked the bold brow look, but recently I’ve been liking more natural looking brows. So, I have been using the Florence By Mills Tint and Tame Brow Gel in Dark Brown just to give them a bit of colour and fix them into place. Apart from the fact my brows are really grown out and need doing, I think the gel really made them look good … or better anyway.
I created a warm toned smokey eye with oranges, burgundy and dark purple, with a gold shimmer as well. I love how this palette is so perfect for this time of year and I love how this look turned out, even when I didn’t know what I was going to do before hand. I used the shades Rush as a transition shade, Siren and Secret in the outer corner, Bombass in the centre of my kid and On Camera in my inner corner and the inner third, all from the Morphe Ring The Alarm palette and I’m so impressed with them. The whole palette has a mix of shimmery and matte shades but they’re all as blendable and pigmented as the rest of them. I really do love Morphe products and I don’t have enough of them considering, so I will deffo be adding some new Morphe bits to my beauty wishlist.
I was so very kindly sent a few bits from www. falseeyelashes.co.uk by Alex Silver PR and the lashes really finished off this eye look perfectly. The bits I was gifted included 3 pairs of the KISS Lash Couture Naked Drama Lashes in the styles Chiffon, Lacey and Orangza. The Revlon Precision Dark Lash Glue and a false eyelashes own branded lash applicator. For this look I decided to wear Organza as they’re the smaller, I guess you could say more natural, of the three as I didn’t want them to overpower the eye look.
And there we have the finished look. I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and I will see you again soon with a new one.
To tie the whole look together I used the Velvet Teddy lipstick from MAC. Even after all these years, this one is still a go to and one of my favourite nudes.
