Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Conspiracy Palette || My Thoughts & Makeup Look!

HIIIYA! Today I will be doing a review on the palette that literally broke the internet and was part of the biggest makeup launches ever. If you don’t know which one that is have you been living under a rock? Just kidding but it’s the Conspiracy Palette from the Conspiracy Collection by Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star. I have been so exited to get my hands on this palette since Shane and Jeffree’s YouTube series started and seeing the whole process of it was really cool and something that’s not fully been shown before. I’m sure you’ve seen / read a number of these reviews already, but I hope you enjoy my one nonetheless.

Can we firstly just talk about this incredible packaging, not only does it fit the theme of the collection, it looks cool and has such incredible quality. I love the idea of the closing of the palette as it almost locks it and I haven’t seen that on any other palettes before apart from JSC ones.

The shadows themselves have fairly big pans to compared to others I own, but for some reason I expected them to be bigger just from the way they looked online. But obviously I’m not complaining because they’re still quite big. Each shadow has a stamp of either Jeffree’s logo, Shane’s logo or images that are related to the name of the shadow. I love how versatile the palette is and each section of 9 will work perfectly together, however I do feel like What’s the tea? doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the colours in the palette but it is a nice extra. The colour pay off is really good and one tap is enough to cover the whole lid, but I did notice the shadows do work better on a wet base or if you use your finger for the shimmery colours. The shadows are fairly powdery and can get quite messy, but they’re smooth and really blendable. Considering I have only used Jeffree’s liquid lipsticks, I still had very high hopes for this palette as I know how much time and effort Jeffree has put in to perfecting his formula. This only downside to this palette is, because it’s so good, it’s made me what every other palette from his site.
As I have previously said, it is such a versatile palette and is perfect for lots of different looks, especially if you want to go bold and out of your comfort zone.

The palette retails at £48 which is definitely more on the pricey side compared to a lot of other ones in my collection, however for this price you do get really good quality packaging, 18 decent sized pans that have good colour pay off and blend easily and obviously, you are paying for the name as well.

On the right eye, I used Cheese Dust in the crease, Flamin’ Hot on the outer corner, cut the crease and used Trisha on the outer two thirds or the lid and Food Videos on the inner third. I actually got a bit carried away with the Trisha shade and covered up Flamin’ Hot, but I really liked how this turned out. On my left eye, I used Pig-ment in the crease, with Not a Fact on the outer corner and I did a half cut crease with What’s the Tea? and topped it with Diet Cola. I also used What’s the Tea? on the lower lash line to tie the look together. To finish off both eyes, I went in with Ranch on the inner corner and the brow bone. For those wondering, the colour on my lips is MAC’s Retro Matte Lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous.

THE LOOKS:

*excuse the dark images, but I thoughts they looked pretty cool*

Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this post. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Anything bad that I had to say about this palette can be backed up by a positive so it doesn’t really effect my opinion of it. I’m very excited to create so many more looks with this palette.
