Hey there and welcome to a new post on my Blog. Today’s post is different to anything I’ve done before but with this whole content switch up I’ve been trying out, you’ll probably see a lot more posts of this style in the future. I will be sharing some easy ways that you can make and save money online. Whether you’re looking to make a full time income online, or looking to have some extra disposable income etc. Then this is the post for you and I hope these steps will help you out. So … how can you easily make or save money online?
- Surveys:
I’m sure you’ve all heard about people making money through surveys and all the ads you see for earning a fiver for each submitted survey. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always thought there would be more to it than that, however since looking into it I’ve found some sites where it’s actually more straight forward than that. Some of the websites I would recommend include SwagBucks, LifePoints and OhMyDosh. They will literally pay you for your opinion and once you’ve made a certain amount of money you can then claim it (this varies for each website). - Start a Blog or YouTube Channel:
Running a blog or YouTube channel is hard work and money isn’t a guarantee. It takes a long time to build up your viewers and blog traffic, to get accepted for monetisation, but once you do there’s no limit to the amount of money you can make. You can make money through selling AD space on your blog, doing sponsored posts, using an AD network e.g. Google Adsense. Affiliate links can earn you a little amount through either the amount of clicks on a link or a small amount of commission when someone uses your link to make a purchase. I wouldn’t start a blog or YouTube channel just to make money because it can a long time to work your way up to making a decent amount of income but if you’re doing it as a hobby, it’s nice to know you can make a little bit of extra cash on the side.
- Instagram / Twitter Accounts:
You can also use your other social media accounts like Twitter and Instagram to make yourself a little bit of cash. If Blogging or running a YouTube channel isn’t for you, many brands will be looking to sponsor a post or a story and you don’t have to have a huge following either. If you have over 10,000 follows, or are verified, then you gain access to the swipe up feature and you can use your affiliate links there.
- 21Buttons:
21Buttons is an app that every single instagrammer seems to talk about but if you haven’t heard of it, it’s basically a bit similar to Instagram, except you can add links to each item of clothes or makeup. If people click on those links and make a purchase, you can earn a little bit of money from that purchase. You can earn between 4 and 6% of the sale price. You don’t necessarily have to have a big following on the app either, because lots of people will see your posts (they have a good algorithm) and if people like the items you post, they’ll buy them regardless of whose posted them.
- Write for other Websites / Blogs:
This is one that I’ve been looking into more recently because I really want to start monetizing my Blog and content more. There are many different sites that allow for guest bloggers to write for them and will pay at least $50 dollars (£40) to do so. Some great sites include Cosmopolitan, WPHub and TransitionsAbroad. I’m not sure how easy or hard it is to get your posts published on these sites, particularly Cosmo, but it’s worth a shot, right? This is definitely a good idea to do if your Blog isn’t earning you much money, if any at all or if you want to share your work with someone else’s audience. - Walking:
Yes, you did read that right; website and apps will literally pay you for walking. Apps like SweatCoin, LifeCoin and Cash for Steps will connect to your phones health app and track your steps to convert them into cash. I have been using SweatCoin for a while now and they give you SweatCoins for your steps, as well as daily bonuses and you then use those coins to buy a prize on there. There are lots of cheaper prizes but the best prizes, in my opinion, are the $1,000 cash or the Holiday which can both be redeemed with 20,000 SweatCoins. This one does take time as this is earnable with 18 months worth of steps, but as you’re going to be walking anyway it’ll definitely be a nice bonus when you do get the pay out. - Honey / Piggy:
Every other ad on YouTube video seems to be promoting one of these browser extensions and I don’t usually downloaded them because I’m always worried they’ll give my laptop a virus. However, I decided to give Honey a try and now I’m saving money on every order. Of course, there are some websites that don’t have any codes for but 9/10 times you’ll save at least 10%. You just head to the check out, Honey will pop up in the corner of the screen and you click ‘apply coupons’ and it’ll apply every single one it can find for that particular store and will find you the one that saves you the most money. You can use my link to sign up for Honey and you can earn Gold towards gift cards.
- Points Schemes and Loyalty Cards:
Last, but not least, we have my favourite way to save money which is points schemes and loyalty cards. Points schemes literally give you points for signing up to the scheme, following them on social media, inviting friends and family and obviously, spending money with them. You can then take this amount of money off of your total bill. My personal favourites are www.falseeyelashes.co.uk because I love me some lashes and the Boots Advantage Card. The Boots Cards gives you 4 points for each £1 you spend in-store on online, they have bonus points event (e.g. £10 worth of points when you spend £50) and every few months they send you personalised coupons for bonus points, or month off etc. Also, it’s a big bonus for you if you use their opticians as you get 1 point for every £1 you spend and their coupons usually include one for the opticians too.
