Happy Saturday my lovelies and welcome to my annual round up of the years stand out products posts. I say it every year but this year has genuinely flown by; it feels like I was just in New York but that was back in February woah!! In a year that I hardly wore makeup due to be at home so much, I surprisingly still have half a dozen makeup products to share in this years top picks. So, let’s see the products that have made this list.
PMD Clean:
First up, we have the PMD Clean that I was kindly gifted back in the summer. After really suffering with my skin throughout my teenage years, I really started to notice an improvement in the last couple of years. Well, that was until lock down, when wearing makes was taking it’s toll and I started to break out again. Since I started using this device, my skin has improved drastically yet again. It makes my skin feel super clean after doing my skincare routine, it removes dry skin, it’s gentle, it also gets right in the hard to reach areas like around the nose and under the eyes. I have always been insecure about my pores, but since using the PMD Clean it almost looks like it shrunk them. I don’t know if this is something it actually does, but I think it’s a knock on effect of how much of a deep clean it gives the skin while clearing black heads, dry skin and excess oils and dirt. I highly recommend giving my full review of the PMD Clean a read if it sounds like something you could do with in your life.
Beauty Bay 42 Bright Matte Palette:
Revolution Cut Crease Canvas – Halo:
The Revolution Cut Crease Canvas has been an absolute godsend. Throughout this year, I’ve really been trying to improve my makeup skills and trying to cut the crease with concealer just wasn’t working as cleanly for me as I would’ve liked it to. Not only this but the concealer wasn’t light enough to create a contrast where I was cutting the crease and it easily mixed with the shadows already on my eyes. This cut crease canvas is a live saver for many reasons, it’s white so doesn’t mix as easily with the shadows, it’s opaque so a little goes a long way AND the applicator is a mini makeup brush which helps to apply it directly and accurately, exactly where you want it. If you’re looking to improve your makeup skills and use a fail safe method to smash out your best looks, then product is what you need; and for £6 a tube, you just cannot go wrong.
Fenty Gloss – Fu$$y:
I think I’ve only mentioned this gloss once this year, but it’s been more of an offline favourite. I’m sure you’ve heard all the hype over this gloss, or at least their glosses in general. Fu$$y is a dark pink gloss with shimmery reflects. It’s really smooth and creamy and you don’t feel the shimmer like you can with some glosses; they sometimes feel bitty. It’s not super pigmented, so it can look clear in some lights or against some skin tones, so I would suggest using a lip liner with it, if you want it to be a bolder colour. It’s so strange, I can’t explain the reason why I love it so much; I understand the hype and I don’t feel like other people would unless they’ve tried it. If you’ve tried this gloss, do let me know if you get what I mean, in the comments below!
Missguided Babe Dreams Perfume:
To conclude this years favourites round up, it’s one of my all time favourite scents which is the Missguided Babe Dreams perfume. I did have the Babe Power perfume, also from MG, for a good couple of years and wanted to try more. Once I came across Babe Dreams and saw that it had top notes bergamot, pink pepper and red fruity accords and base notes of patchouli, rich amber and vanilla, it just sounded like such a ME scent. These individual ingredients are exactly what I look for whenever I’m looking to get a new perfume and this one has them all; I just fell in love with the scent immediately. It is a little pricey for a kind of body spray, retailing at £28 for 80 ml, but it smells amazing, lasts well throughout the day and the packaging is really cute; always a bonus.
