Hiiiya, how are we all? Welcome back to a new post on my blog where I will be sharing a soft glam makeup look that I created with products I love but hardly use. After nearly a year of not wearing much makeup daily, if at all, I thought it was time to look through my collection and get some use out of the products that I’ll probably have to clear out sooner rather than later. Let’s see how I created this look and what I love about these products then.
Since getting back into doing my makeup recently, I’ve been loving doing my base makeup more than before, because usually I get impatient and want to start on the eyes immediate. For the base today, I went for a full coverage, bronzey base with a pop of highlight, just to keep the eyes the main focus of this look. I started off with the Figs & Rouge Elixir in Charm to give a bit of a glow to the skin with the full cover camouflage foundation from Revolution PRO and MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer. I used to use this concealer all the time when I first started blogging and since discovering the Revolution Conceal & Define one I never really go back, unless I’m doing an uber glam look, but I forgot just how nice it looks on the skin. As usual I baked my skin with a loose powder because I find it’s the best way to keep my makeup on all day and set in place and I used my new Revolution Peach Baking Powder; I know this isn’t hardly used as I have just bought it, but aside from my trust Laura Mericer Translucent Powder, I don’t have any other baking powders. This feels a little bit like a 2018 makeup post from me as the unbeatable bronzer and blush combo that is the Natural Collection Bronzing Powder and the MAC Blush in Melba has been plucked out of the depths of my makeup collection; I forgot just how much I loved these two products, just look how healthy and sunkissed it makes my skin look.. even in March. I then popped on some, okay maybe a lot, of highlighter from the ABH Sugar Palette using a mix of them all. I always forget just how pigmented these are and end up putting too much on. This palette has a mix of bronzey highlighters, a white one with iridescent gold shimmers and a gorgeous pink one that could be used as a blush too. Finishing off the base, I just set my face with the Revolution Purifying Priming Water, because I went through a stage of loving this and using it all the time until I stopped and didn’t reach for it again, but it’s so refreshing and takes that powdery finish away from the skin.
I have recently become obsessed with the way I fill in my brows because the Benefit brow products are like no other but for today’s look I decided to use an old fave from BBB London which is the Ultra Slim Brow Definer, they actually turned out alright but a little more ‘blocky’ than I have been doing recently but I think a little more practice with pencils and they could look really good. These brows stayed put all day without smudging or fading and I only set them in place with the Natural Collection Brow Tidy; as much as I loved the brow tidy about a year ago, I’m not as much of a fan of it now and will definitely be sticking to my Benefit Gimmie Brow for now!
Now onto the eyes, my favourite part of the look. I decided to go for a super simple glam smokey eye using the Revolution Reloaded Velvet Rose Palette which has the most gorgeous browns, purples and shimmers. This palette is perfect for creating a smokey eye, whether that be with cool tones, warm tones or even just straight up black. These shadows are really creamy and easy to blend, they don’t have too much kickback so there’s not a lot of wasted product and the shimmers don’t need a lot of working with to get that smooth, opaque finish; all for just £4! I’ve recently done a clear out of my mascaras so there’s not really any old but gold ones there to share but since I’ve started using the ABH Lash Brag mascara, I’ve forgotten all about the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara but it always manages to tie the whole look together and remind me of just why it’s so good. I do have a full review on this mascara if you’d like to read about why it’s so good! When doing a smokey eye, it can be very easy for either the lips or the base to become the main focus of the makeup look, so I decided to pop on some long, thick statement lashes from Pretty Little Thing in the style Sassy, to keep the focus there. I also added some brown liner to my water line using the Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eye Pencil because towards the end of last year, it became a staple for me with any eye look and it ties together the whole makeup look.
And finally, for the lips, I just had to go for my staple nude lip but I decided to switch it up a little bit and add a brown lip liner and I just love how it complimented the eye look really nicely. I whipped out a MAC Lipstick in the shade Honeylove because I have way to many MAC lipsticks in my collection that I don’t use hardly enough, but the obsession I had with them when I way 15/16 still lives with me to this day. Honeylove was my second all time favourite nude lip, particularly from MAC, as it’s not too dark or too light, but it isn’t quite as warm toned as that of Velvet Teddy. It’s really smooth and creamy whilst giving the look of it being super matte so you don’t get really dry lips when wearing it! The lip liner is also really smooth, it applies really well with great colour pay off so one swipe is enough! I’m living for this combo and I’ll definitely be putting it in my everyday makeup bag to use when we come out of lockdown.

The Outfit:
*these items have been kindly gifted to me by FemmeLuxe*
Now, it wouldn’t be a makeup or GRWM post without me sharing an outfit photo would it? Especially now I seem to think I’m a fashion blogger. This outfit is business on the top and chill on the bottom, which is pretty much lockdown fashion to a T isn’t it? No-one on zoom has to know! This is the White Puff Long Sleeve Zip Up Top from FemmeLuxe and I have this in a Medium (10/12) but I would recommend sizing up, especially for those of you with bigger boobs. These Hot Pink Joggers were the main reason I decided to make an order at FemmeLuxe because I’m obsessed with the colour (they’re a little more bright in real life) and I picked these up in a 10. I sort of just guess the size when it comes to FL joggers because sometimes they’re really big, other times they’re tiny but these are a little more oversized and fit me exactly how I could’ve wished. They’re super soft inside and not too thick making them super comfortable.
So, there we have the soft glam makeup look using the products I love, but hardly use. I really hope you like the look I created and hearing about the products I used and why I love them so much. I hope you have a great rest of the week and I will see you next week with a new post!!
You’re so pretty Luci! I love your shirt, and eyeshadow pallete is a must buy. I usually go for colors that match my outfit, and I have glasses so it’s not that prominent anyways haha. Your mascara is really good, mine barely shows lol, so I guess I’m going on a makeup buying spree now. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the post! x
I’ve seen so many people use the peach baking powder from revolution, I’m always scared to use them incase they leave a cast / powdery look under my eyes haha! I do currently use the Laura Mercier one but it’s so expensive so I hate feeling like I’m wasting it on everyday use haha!

That’s exactly how I felt with my LM one, I highly recommend this one for everyday day use, it doesn’t leave the skin feeling too cakey but a little setting spray always helps in my opinion! x
This is a lovely final look! I don’t wear make up often and don’t own a lot of it either so I pretty much use everything I have! I love Revolution x
