Ariana Grande Cloud Perfume:
First up is the perfume that everyone seems to have been talking about, using and loving this year; Cloud by Ariana Grande. It has a super sweet scent, which is made up from :
- Top notes of Lavender, Pear, Bergamot.
- Heart notes of Vanilla Orchid, Praline, Coconut.
- Base notes of Musk & Wood.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream:
This came in the Molly-Mae x Cosmetips box, which can I say was my best purchase of 2021. I love gift boxes and subscription boxes as they give you the opportunity to try products that you probably wouldn’t try otherwise, whether it be because they’re from brands you’ve not heard of, or because of the price tag being a put off. I must admit the price of this product, being £87 for 50ml, stopped me from trying it, dispote all of the amazing things I had heard about it before.
This moisturiser is like a gel consistency, you need only a small amount, it sinks in really quickly and it instantly makes your skin feel so much more hydrated and refreshed. It’s price tag is a little high but if you only use a small amount, as a little goes a long way, it’ll last you a decent amount of time. Personally I would say it’s worth every penny and I will be repurchasing after payday. I also really want to create more of a skincare routine to follow throughout 2022 so I’ll probably do a big skincare haul of all the products I love using.
If you’re able to give this moisturiser a go, I couldn’t recommend this enough to you; especially if you like something that doesn’t feel to thick and cakey. Deffo going to be a go-to, for the summer especially.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream:
Also from Elemis, I’ve also been loving the Oxygenating Night Cream. I’ve never really had a ‘nighttime’ skincare routine, I just do my daily skincare with an extra oil or something to go on the skin to treat it throughout the night. However, since using this I decided to look into the benefits of a nighttime routine and it’s supposed to be a good time to use products that are going to help repair and rejuvenate the skin. This cream is a little thicker than the marine cream, but it’s still a gel-like moisturiser so it feels weightless on the skin. As it’s a little thicker, it does take a bit longer to sink into the skin and this makes it feel like it’s coating my skin; especially the dry patches that really, really need it right now.
Again, it’s still a little pricey, but the quality and way it works for my skin makes it so worth it. I actually need to repurchase this as it recently ran out, so I’m looking forward to using it again because my skin is CRAVING, the hydration it gives; my nighttime skincare routine feels like it’s lacking now I’ve not been using this.
KVD True Portrait Foundation:
I’ve always been a little apprehensive when trying out any form of powder foundation, as many powders stick to my dry patches around my eyes and nose; they just never look great. This is a really thin foundation but it does go a long way when you get to blending. I always blend out with a flat top brush and bounce it in with a sponge, which I think gives the best finish for me. It doesn’t take long for it to turn more matte, but I still bake under my eyes and anywhere I get oil.
Up close, you can see how it clings to dry patches and pores but when you don’t look too closely it looks nice and natural but also looks as if it has good coverage. I suggest using a really good pore filling primer and a thicker moisturiser, to have a nice base to prep well before makeup. The foundation is really lightweight, it has light to medium coverage, but I would say it’s buildable if you work quickly. This is a perfect everyday foundation for days where you want to make a bit of effort but a full face just is too much, you don’t want to look cakey or if you’re going to be wearing masks all day and you don’t want something that’s going to look obviously patchy. I wouldn’t recommend for really dry skin, but if you have combination, normal or oily especially, I think you’ll love this!
