Hey there, happy Monday and welcome to post 3 of my 12 Days of Christmas series. For today’s post I will be sharing my beauty favourites for the month of November ( I know I’ve been slacking on the monthly favourites this year, but I have my ultimate favourites of 2021 coming soon, so you haven’t missed a thing don’t worry!) and also a haul of some of the bits I picked up from Cult Beauty during their Black Friday sale. Let’s get started then.
Ariana Grande God is a Women Perfume:
I have been using, and absolutely loving, the Cloud Perfume by Ariana Grande throughout this whole year now; it’s basically become my signature scent by now. So when I ran out of it recently, I went on the Boots website to order another one but ended up seeing her new God is a Women perfume and the description sold me.
‘A soft opening of juicy pear and ambrette evolves into a wonderfully sensuous floral heart of Turkish rose petals, paired with divine orris. Finally, the drydown unfolds into a warming blend of Madagascar vanilla and a creamy, woody twist of cedarwood.’
I’m not really a floral perfume kinda girl but vanilla and cederwood are always a winner with me; I prefer more of a rich sweet scent. However, I thought it was time to try something a bit different and I’m so glad I did, I absolutely love and I get so many compliments when wearing it!
No7 Total Renewal Micro-dermabrasion Exfoliator:
I’ve been using lots of different cleansers recently with my trusty PMD Clean so I didn’t really think too much about getting a new exfoliating cleanser but it is good to use one at least once a week as they make such a difference to your skin. The one I decided to try out is the Micro-dermabrasion one from No7, mainly because it was on 3 for 2 and, to me, it’s as good a time as any to try something new out. My skin always feels so smooth and refreshed after doing my skincare routine and it really gets into the pores to give them a good deep clean. I also use this with my PMD Clean when I need more of a deep exfoliation which is good for those full face of makeup days. If you’re looking for good quality skincare products, that aren’t going to break the bank, this is one for you!
Revolution Vitamin C Eye Cream:
I’ve been using Revolutions Vitamin C Serum for a while now and I love the way it makes my skin feel so, when I was on the look out fit a new eye cream, I decided this was the one to try. Revolution products never seem to fail me and this is no exception. Vitamin C is said to be so good for your skin as it promotes collagen production which is good for plumping the skin and reducing lines and wrinkles. During these colder months, I really struggle with dry under eyes and this cream really sinks into the skin to quench that dryness and even after only a few weeks of using it, I have noticed a good difference in my skin and it’s performance. Although I’m such an eye cream lover and buy waaay too many, it’s usually the cheap ones (particularly revolutions ones) that stand out to me most and I always end up repurchasing, so I can imagine this will be the same!
Refy Brow Gel:
I’m sure you’ve all heard of this brow gel at this point; it’s everywhere and rightfully so! I got this brow gel a while back, I believe it was in the Molly-Mae x Cosmetips Beauty Box, and for a while I didn’t get around to using it until I saw all the hype and reviews etc. But since my first try a couple of months ago I have been hooked ever since. It’s literally like glue, it sticks your brows up and in place and gives the soap brows/ brow lamination look in seconds. I would be careful not to use too much as they can get quite sticky and clumpy but I use a little bit and brush them through with the other brush it comes with and I love the look they give; my brows look really full without having to use any other brow products.
No7 Brown / Black Mascara:
Since my love for brown eyeliner started last year sometime, I’ve been wanting to try out a brown mascara but I didn’t get round to doing that until probably about a month ago. This one is a brown/black so it almost looks black but it just isn’t as harsh and as I’m going for a more natural look recently, I find it works a lot better for me. This mascara does have a thick wand which does get a lot of product on it, so it does need wiping before using as I did learn the hard way and ended up with spider lashes haha. After the brush is wiped a little bit, it does apply really nicely by separating the lashes as well as giving them some more length and looking a little bit thicker. It also lasts really well throughout the day without smudging under my eyes or leaving flakes on your face and I do find a lot of mascaras do this on me so it’s nice to find one that doesn’t. I highly recommend this one if you like a bit of a bold lash look without it looking over the top and spidery and if you want all of that on a budget too!
Cantu Hair Brush:
The last item in my favourites for the month of November is the Thick Hair Paddle Brush by Cantu. I have such long, thick, curly, static hair which can be such a nightmare to try and look after and deal with everyday and this has lead me to trying out lots of different brushes including the Tangle Teezers and Wet Brushes; they do the job but I still feel like it’s causing a lot of breakage to my hair because of how knotty it gets. I decided to do a little bit more of a search for a good brush for thick hair and this one came up many, many times. It has your regular plastic bristles and shorter, thicker ones too and it just glides so easily through my hair, even when it’s dry and that’s big for me! It also leaves your hair with a healthy looking shine. I’m very pleased with this purchase; deffo the best I’ve found.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner:
The first item I picked up from the Cult Beauty Black Friday sale is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Toner. I have had my eye on this for a while after seeing so many good reviews and other bloggers/ youtubers talking about it and I thought it was good time to try it; to be fair it’s only £14 at full price so it’s really affordable. I do get a bit insecure at times about my pores because, around my nose especially, they’re quite big which is why I was looking for a toner or treatment that’ll make them less visible, even without makeup. This toner is said to ‘give a relatively poreless-looking complexion’ so I’m really hoping it does help me out.
Elemis Peptide Eye Recovery Cream:
Throughout the course of this year I have been really loving Elemis products, particularly for their pro collagen range. Elemis products are a little pricey so when I’ve tried them before they’ve always been from a Beauty Advent Calendar or a subscription box but I am so glad I tried them and was able to see just how worth it they really are. I don’t think I’ve been able to try any of their eye creams yet, certainly not this one, so I thought Black Friday was the perfect time to do so. Some of the key points that sold this product to me was that it’s lightweight, good for dark circles, it’s anti-ageing AND it’s fast absorbing. The reviews on it are also great so I’m hoping it’ll live up to expectations!
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder Travel Set:
Laura Mercier Luminous Foundation Sponge:
I actually really like the shape of this sponge as most of them are similar to the Beauty Blenders egg shape. The reviews are a bit 50/50 so I’m not really sure what to expect but, as it’s Laura Mercier, my expectations are pretty high.
And those were my November Favourites and the bits I picked up during Black Friday. As always, thank you so much for reading, I really hope you enjoyed and liked that it was a little longer than my normal posts. I’ll see you in a couple days with a new post!
