Good evening all! I can’t believe we are over half way through Blogmas and I haven’t done a makeup look post yet? Thankfully it’s time to change that and for me to share a super glowy, bronzey/smokey with a glossy nude lip makeup look. Soo, how did I create it?!
Starting off with the base, I wanted to create something more light weight and glowy because the eyes are the main part to this look. I used the Revolution Pore Perfecting Primer as it’s hydrating yet mattifying, so it makes the skin feel super soft and makes for the perfect smooth base. I used the Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation for the first time and I love that it’s got good coverage but still feels very light on the skin. I concealed and highlighted with the HNB Cosmetics Soft Focus Airbrush Concealer and set it all in place with my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Power whilst baking with the Soft Focus Loose Powder also from HNB.
I have been religiously using the Pink Honey BFF Bronzing Face Frosting in Milky Mocha every single time I do my makeup; whether it’s for super simple everyday makeup or for a more glam, full coverage look. I always go over my cream bronzer with a powder, I guess to set it, but also to make sure everything’s blended together as we don’t want any harsh lines, so we? I used the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer for this and then finished the base off with the Anastasia Loose Highlighter in Vegas. I like to go over the highlight with my beauty blender and it melts it into the skin to create a beautiful, buttery, golden glow.
For me, it’s not Christmas without a bit of glitter and a big ol’ lash. So I grabbed the Huda Beauty Naughty Nude Eye Palette for the first time in a while; this is the perfect Christmassy eye shadow palette with a mix of shimmers and matte, reds and browns, silvers and golds and even a few shimmers. These shadows are super buttery and blend so seamlessly into one another. You can check out my review of this palette here.
I used to religiously use an eye base before doing a bolder eye look, but nowadays I don’t really use one. I went straight in with Hypnotic in the crease before adding a mix of Untamed and Spicy on the outer corner. I used Rough to blend everything together and kept adding each shade to build them up and continue blending together. For the shimmer, I added Slippery to the centre of the lid which is described as a pearly gloss hybrid and, although it takes a bit of working with, it comes out as a smooth red shimmer and catches the light so nicely. I added Desire on the tear duct to finish the eye up.
The finishing touches for the eyes included the Doll Beauty Bella Lashes and my ride or die Charlotte Tilbury Classic Brown Liner in the water line. Still a really quick and easy eye look but looks so gorgeous on.
I was stuck between a nude gloss or a matte red lip with this look but I ended up picking the gloss but with a little shimmer. I went for the MAC Lip Liner in Stripdown which is just a nice browny nude and I find it to be great under any lip colour, with Jeffrey Star Celebrity Skin on top. And to finish off the lip with the shimmer I wanted, I chose the Fenty Beauty Gloss in Diamond Milk.
The Look:
And that’s the look. Annoyingly, I didn’t get a very good photo of the look at all because I was in a rush but, I wanted to create a really festive look with a burgundy smokey eye with a pop of shimmer, bronzey skin with a gold highlight and a nude lip to not take the spotlight off the eyes. Super simple to create, super glam and an absolutely stunning glitter on the eyes. I’m so pleased with how this turned out and, thank god because I had under an hour to get ready and no chance to correct anything.
